It’s official! After Copenhagen, Bilbao, and Florence in 2024, the Tour de France will start from France, specifically from Hauts-de-France!

For the fifth time since its creation in 1903, the Great Loop will set off from Hauts-de-France, following the editions of 1960 (Lille), 1969 (Roubaix), 1994 (Lille), and 2001 (Dunkerque).

It’s always a significant event to host the Tour de France… So, hosting the Grand Départ of the world’s greatest cycling race, in the heart of a land of cycling, is wonderful!

Unity among partners, leading to success!

In recent months, the Hauts-de-France Region, the Nord Department, and the European Metropolis of Lille have joined forces to support the regional candidacy, successfully! Indeed, it’s official: the Grand Départ “Lille-Nord de France” of the 112th edition of the Tour de France will start from Lille, the regional capital, promising several days of celebration, worthy of the popular atmosphere of Hauts-de-France!
